Social Media Marketing Specialist - Full Time (Boulder, CO or Remote)

Position Description

Quadratic is an early-stage startup with a small team; you must be comfortable working in a startup environment with a high level of ownership and limited guidance.

Quadratic is a venture-backed connected AI spreadsheet with >200k users. We have a strong Product-Led Growth motion with many self-adopted accounts. We are looking for a full-time Social Media Specialist to turn that product love into consistent, high-impact storytelling across social channels and other marketing surfaces to grow our top of funnel awareness and website traffic.

In this role, you will deeply understand the Quadratic product, keep up with new features and launches, and create demo-driven content for social media, email campaigns, blog posts, and landing pages. You will own our organic social presence end-to-end: strategy, content, publishing, community, and performance.

You are obsessed with the conversation on the internet, and finding ways to get Quadratic attention and new users. You live online and love being part of the zeitgeist.

Responsibilities

  • Drive new user signups for Quadratic with social media.
  • Own organic social strategy and execution across Twitter (X), Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, LinkedIn, and Reddit.
  • Become a power user of Quadratic and stay current on product updates, new features, and use cases.
  • Create demo-focused content that showcases how Quadratic works: short-form videos, carousels, screenshots, GIFs, and walkthroughs.
  • Repurpose and adapt product demos for multiple channels: social posts, email content, blog embeds, landing page visuals, and more.
  • Script, film, and edit platform-native content, optimizing for attention, clarity, and shareability.
  • Manage the content calendar: plan, schedule, and publish with a consistent posting cadence aligned to launches and marketing campaigns.
  • Collaborate with and guide our third-party social media agency, ensuring their content aligns with your strategy, our brand, and current product priorities.
  • Engage directly with our community: reply to comments and DMs, answer product questions, and elevate power users and advocates.
  • Actively participate in the broader data analytics, spreadsheet, AI productivity, and technical workflow communities—especially on X and Reddit—to insert Quadratic naturally into conversations, share insights, and contribute meaningfully to discussions.
  • Monitor performance metrics (reach, engagement, follower growth, click-throughs) and use data to refine content and strategy.
  • Identify and jump on relevant trends, formats, and conversations that can amplify Quadratic’s reach.
  • Collaborate with Growth and Product to ensure content is accurate, on-brand, and aligned with company priorities.

Qualifications

  • 2–4+ years of experience managing organic social media for a tech or SaaS product (in-house or agency).
  • Proven examples of high-performing or viral content you’ve created across one or more major platforms.
  • Strong copywriting skills; able to explain complex topics simply and with personality.
  • Hands-on experience with video creation and editing tools (e.g., CapCut, Final Cut, Premiere, VEED, or similar).
  • Comfortable interpreting analytics and turning performance data into actionable improvements.
  • Naturally spends time on social platforms and understands how native formats, hooks, and algorithms impact performance.
  • Comfortable working in a high-ownership role with limited structure and lots of autonomy.

Preferred Skills and Experience

  • Experience creating content for technical, data, or productivity tools.
  • Familiarity with spreadsheets, basic analytics, or scripting (SQL/Python/JS) and interest in learning Quadratic deeply.
  • Experience at a PLG company or with products that users can try instantly.
  • Comfortable being on camera for demos and walkthroughs.
  • Excited to collaborate closely with a product-focused, engineering-heavy team.

Additional Requirements

  • Willing to occasionally work extended or off-hours around major launches, announcements, or campaigns.

  • Finally, we can both make an informed decision on moving to a full-time hire or kicking off a 2-week paid project to gauge fit.
